 Using an airbrush, a liquid containing dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is evenly applied to the body. DHA is a colorless sugar that darkens skin by interacting with amino acids in the outermost layer, producing natural pigment changes. Just like a genuine suntan, the color gradually fades, typically within 5 to 10 days.

 Before your treatment...

 DO:

• Wait 48 hours after waxing to tan
• Exfoliate 24 hours before service
• Use a loofah or exfoliating gloves and a pH balanced shower gel
• Wear dark, loose fitting clothing and remove jewelry.  Maxi dresses or similar are best
• Bring an old/dark colored swimsuit/thong, bra & underwear, shorts & tube-top, or whatever you feel comfortable in. 

 DO NOT:

• Use a sugar scrub; the oils in these products will block the DHA absorption
• Use bar soap and/or in-shower moisturizers. These products can halt the DHA bronzing reaction, or cause the dreaded "orange effect"
• Airbrush Tan right after the gym; perspiration/moisture, high body temp can hinder development of color
